John Fitch at Goodwood 2000

If you’ve been around the old car/bike scene for a while, you may have heard of John Fitch.

He passed away on Oct 31 2012

He was an icon in  early sports car racing circles and has left an indelible mark on the sport.

An early advocate of racing car and track safety, we are still using his safety barrier technology.

During WWII he was a decorated pilot and a POW, it’s quite a life’s story.

Rather then ramble on, I’ll supply a link to a website that chronicles his life.

Our world is becoming a much less interesting place without men like him.
